Travel Lite - Calamanggan Island

As I've continued to search for a nice and cozy place to visit this summer, one of my friends mention this unknown island to me and based on my curiosity and excitement to go to this island for the first time, im giving here some insights about this island:

This small dream island is situated about 2 hours by pumboat from Malapascua. Aside from its white sand coastline, you can relax, snorkel and barbeque here. There's a barbeque stand available if you want to eat.

The resort composts its wet garbage, debris from trees and shrubs, seaweeds collected from the beach, and enhance it with lime dust.It is an impressive experience i had back at Plantation Bay and I'm looking forward to my next vacation there.

Surfing on the Island of Siargao

If you have the passion for surfing, then this place is perfect for you. The Siargao Island is in the province of Surigao del Norte, 800 kilometer away from Manila. Siargao Island is best known for large surfing waves and it is tag as "The Surfing Capital of the Philippines".

Aside from its famous waves, Siargao is also the home of the largest mangrove forest in Del Carmen, Mindanao. Commercial seaweeds propagation is a potential because of its long stretches of wetlands in the region.

Travel Alert: Swine Flu Pandemic

Summer is not yet over and it's just a perfect time to travel or planned vacation trip abroad especially now that airfare is within reach, thanks to airlines that gives big discounts to travelers but just recently, the world is again hit by the Swine Flu, an illness which infects pig but although this is not a fatal illness, the travel industries is again warned travelers to take extra precaution when traveling abroad especially to United States and Mexico where the outbreak of the Swine Flu occur.

Here are some basic tips to avoid Swine Flu while on travel:

• If anybody hears or sees that families in their communities are falling sick and have the flu, they should immediately report this to the health centers so that action can be taken immediately
• We should always practice hand washing and good personal hygiene
• We should all avoid crowded places
• For the meantime, avoid eating pork meat, in this case it may help you with your diet by eating vegetables or fish

The World Health Organization (WHO) is still studying how the virus is transmitted and what symptoms it causes, but initial results showed that pneumonia or acute respiratory distress is usually what kills victims. Right now, there is no real reason to be alarmed. But we always have to be watchful. Enjoy your travel guys!

My Bohol Travel Experience

Last December 2008, me and my family took a trip around Bohol since its my wife's birthday and to visit her lolo and lola's place because its quit sometime since our last visit,so to kick things off, we had a 2hrs fast craft ride from Cebu to Tagbilaran, and took our service van and headed to Albur (my wife's place) which is a 20mins drive from Tagbilaran, on our way to Albur, first we passed Statue of Blood Compact

then followed by the famous Baclayon Church (this is one of the oldest church in Philippines) and we stopped over for a while to took some pictures and to go inside the church and gave thanks to God without us knowing that its lunch time already, so we go back to the van and headed to Albur to ate lunch and to visit my grandparent's-in-law. We stayed there for an hour before heading to our next stop which is the World's largerst Phyton in captivity.

The next stop is the Loboc River which is the home of the world class Loboc Choir and also the famous tarsier.







Bohol's famous Chocolate Hills is our next stop, situated at Carmen, it is a 2hr drive from Tagbilaran, we stayed there an hour to saw the wonders that Bohol has to offer, I am very amazed with the things I saw back there, we took pictures from every angle of the scenery, even though the trip was very exhausting, still it was worth the trip when you saw the beautiful scenery of Bohol.

So the next time you plan to have a trip, Bohol is a nice place to visit.

The Benefits of Travel

Who doesn't what to travel from one place to another? Imagine yourself dining on the side streets of Italy and eating delicious foods like whole fried artichoke or grilled stake with Salsa Verde, or walking with your wife or love ones along the coastline of Bahamas Beach Club or betting on one of the casino's along the strip in Las Vegas. This is the most wanted dreams for most peoples, (I myself is one) .
